Welcome
Our group focuses on the complex interactions between ecogeomorphology and people that occur along the coasts. Half of the world's population lives within 200 km of the coast. Our work focuses on understanding and predicting future change, and how that impacts people.
We work on problems ranging from marsh morphodynamics, to Blue Carbon, landscape evolution, and the role of biofilms on sediment dynamics. If it is weird or interdisciplinary, we are interested! We use a variety of techniques including field investigation, numerical modeling, remote sensing, and laboratory experiments to understand the biophysical interactions that are changing along with the environment.
